The very first Oyster Bay Vineyard lies in the heart of Marlborough’s Wairau Valley, and is befittingly the home to our Oyster Bay Winery. This majestic site, with the Richmond Ranges as an imposing backdrop, is a wonderful mix of quintessential stony Marlborough soils and silt overlaying ancient alluvial soils. It is the perfect site for Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, each displaying fruit intensity and flavour concentration.
Our Dashwood Vineyard is located in Marlborough’s stunning Awatere Valley. In close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, this cool-climate vineyard is a terraced site with alluvial soil profiles. It is sited high up above the Awatere River with spectacular scenery all around. The cooling influence of the ocean across this vineyard results in fruit with small berries and exceptional varietal intensity.
Our picturesque Wairau River Vineyard is located close to the Wairau River, the Marlborough region’s source of pure water, which runs down from the pristine Southern Alps. This vineyard is planted exclusively in Sauvignon Blanc and its stony soil profiles produce grapes with lively and aromatic flavour characters.
Our beautiful Fault Lake Vineyard is located in the central Wairau Valley. A feature of the vineyard is the beautiful wetlands area, which Oyster Bay has restored and protected. This area is home to many native, protected birds. The site is a mix of ancient glacial soils and is ideal for growing Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
