Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc is celebrating being announced a winner at the 12th Australian Liquor Industry Awards (ALIA) this month, winning the premium white wine category. The ALIA Awards represent the height of success within the Australian liquor industry, acknowledging excellence in product, product-marketing, retail and on and off-premise and supply. The awards are presented in five categories including beer, wine, spirits and liqueurs, the bars and clubs awards for excellence in the on-premise category and lastly, the ALIA major awards including the big 'drop', supplier of the year. |
Hosted by Australia's National Liquor News magazine, the ALIA Award's voting and judging process involves reader voting as well as industry suppliers (beer, wine and spirits companies) and retailers voting for their favourite liquor brands. The ultimate winner of the awards is judged by the National Liquor News ALIA Panel, comprising 20 of the country's most influential and informed liquor industry specialists.
"The fact that the Australian liquor industry and the readers of National Liquor News magazine have officially voted Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc as their favourite premium white wine is an extremely prestigious recognition and one which we are incredibly proud of," says Managing Director, Jim Delegat.
"Oyster Bay has also only had a presence in the Australian market for the past two and a half years so the win is also an official acknowledgement of the success we have achieved in a relatively short period of time," Mr Delegat says.
"Since entering the Australian market, Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc has proved to be incredibly popular amongst white wine drinkers in Australia so we couldn't be more thrilled at this recent announcement."
